Deerfoot brush
#12 flat brush
#4 round brush
#10-0 liner brush
white graphite pencil
small brown paper bag

Instructions:
1. Before beginning, review the stroke and sealing instructions.
2. Mix a 3 to 1 ratio of Titanium White and Blueberry, and basecoat the top of the plaque with this mix. When paint is completely dry, lightly rub with a small brown paper bag.
3. Trace and transfer pattern with white graphite.
4. Stipple flower centers with a Deerfoot brush and Dark Chocolate.
5. Mix Hauser Light Green and Lamp Black in a ratio of 3:1. Double load a #12 flat brush by dipping one side of the brush in the black/green mix and the other side in Hauser Light Green. Brush back and forth on palette to blend slightly. Paint leaves keeping the Hauser Light Green toward the top. Paint stems by turning the brush sideways and pulling down.
6. Load the #4 round brush with Antique Gold and dip brush tip in Dark Chocolate. Touch brush tip to the edge of the center of a flower. Apply pressure, allowing the brush to fan out. Pull the brush while lifting. Repeat around the other flower centers, leaving small spaces between each petal.
7. Load the #4 round brush with Cadmium Yellow and dip the tip in Titanium White. Paint petals between previous Antique Gold petals.
8. Load the Deerfoot brush with Dark Chocolate. Tip the brush edge in Lamp Black. Stipple a crescent shape around bottom and left side of the flower center. After cleaning the Deerfoot brush on a paper towel or soft cloth, load it with Dark Chocolate and tip with Cadmium Yellow. Stipple a highlight at center top of each flower center.
9. Use a liner brush and Dark Chocolate thinned with water to make small lines at base of petals.
10. Dot “seeds” of Lamp Black and Titanium White on each flower center using the end of a brush handle.
11. Use a #12 flat brush and Antique Gold to paint beveled edge of the plaque, and a #12 flat brush and Blueberry to paint flat edge of plaque.
