Surface:
Wooden album

Techniques Used:
floating, stippling, liner work

Brushes:
#12 flat brush
deerfoot brush
#8 flat brush
liner brush

Painting supplies:
Oval and star pattern
Bear pattern
Masking tape
Paper towels

Preparation:
Remove hardware. Seal wood pieces with Multi-purpose Sealer. Let dry and sand lightly.

Painting instructions:
1. Basecoat as follows: front cover Buttermilk; side panel, edges, and back Country Blue. Let dry.
2. Trace and transfer oval pattern and stars.
3. Mask off stripes with tape. Paint alternate stripes Primary Red. Mix a small amount of Bittersweet Chocolate with Primary Red. Use #12 flat brush to float mix down sides of red stripes. Remove tape.
4. Paint inside of oval Country Blue. Let dry.

BEAR:
1. Trace and transfer bear pattern.
2. Paint hat Titanium White. Float Buttermilk above hat brim to shade.
3. Use deerfoot brush to stipple Buttermilk and Bittersweet Chocolate on bear. Pick up Bittersweet Chocolate on tip of brush and tap onto shaded areas. Wipe brush on paper towel.
4. Pick up Buttermilk and tap into highlighted areas.
5. Use #8 flat brush to paint eyes and nose Bittersweet Chocolate. Float Titanium White on left side of eyes and top of nose. Dot Titanium White at top of each eye.
6. Use liner brush and Bittersweet Chocolate thinned with water to paint mouth and hat crease.

STARS:
1. Basecoat stars with Titanium White. Let dry and paint Primary Yellow.
2. Float Bittersweet Chocolate on left to shade and Titanium White on right side to highlight.
3. Dot Titanium White around oval.
